  • Recipe Servings1 Cup

    • Ingredients

    • 2 cups of water
    • 2 teaspoons of loose green tea leaves
    • 4-5 almonds
    • 2 pinch black pepper
    • 2 green cardamoms
    • 1/2 inch cinnamon stick
    • a pinch of saffron
    • 1 tsp of rose petals

    How to Make

  • 1Add 2 cups of water to the samovar, or a saucepan or kettle and heat it. Bring it to a simmer.
  • 2Add all the spices, saffron, and rose petals to the hot steaming water. Bring it to a boil. Let the ingredients boil well in water for 2-3 minutes.
  • 3Add the green tea leaves and switch off the flame.
  • 4Cover the pan and let the tea steep for 2-3 minutes. You can steep it for 5 minutes for a rich green tea flavor.
  • 5Strain the tea using a tea strainer.
  • 6Add slivered almonds and your detox kahwa tea is ready
